Smashing Windows on Regent Street

13 Architects reveal spectacular installations for RIBA Regent Street Windows

RIBA architects have partnered with some of the biggest names in fashion and retail to create engaging architectural installations in shop windows along Regent Street.

The 13 participating architects will have their work on display until Sunday, 27 September, creating a public architecture exhibition seen by more than one million people each week. The architects and retailers paired this year are: 

 

  • HASSELL with Karen Millen
  • LDVC with Longchamp
  • Shiro Studio  with Armani Exchange
  • Office S&M with Hamleys
  • AMD Interior Architecture with Levi’s
  • EPR Architects with Anthropologie
  • Conran and Partners with Brooks Brothers
  • London Atelier with Crabtree & Evelyn
  • Coppin Dockray Architects with L’Occitane en Provence
  • Space Group Architects with Penhaligon’s
  • Michaelis Boyd Associates with Kiehl’s
  • Citizens Design Bureau with Hotel Café Royal
  • Nick Wood, How About Studio and Gillian Lambert with Hawes & Curtis

 

RIBA London Interim Director Owen Wainhouse said: “The RIBA Windows project highlights the versatility of RIBA architects and their unique ability to look at space differently.  It’s an exclusive and high profile opportunity for the profession’s emerging and more established practices to test new ideas, apply their ingenuity and resourcefulness to different scales and work with space and structures in new and exciting ways. 

 

“Now in its 6th year, the RIBA Windows Project on Regent Street has been triumphant in showcasing high quality design and detailing in collaboration with world famous retail brands, and this year has been no exception, with architects exploring new concepts in craft, heritage and scale.”
